The Business Challenge
Viridian are a housing association providing social housing to over 30,000 residents spanning across London and the South-East, the Midlands and West Sussex. The planning of their Customer Service Centre’s first ever away day was proving difficult as everyone was facing redundancy due to an impending merger and relocation to a different city.
Morale was extremely low and the team was very demotivated with increasing staff turnover putting even more pressure on them on a daily basis.
The Head Of Contact Centre saw Inspire Me at the Global Engagement Summit and attended a breakout workshop. He approached us at the event with his desire to equip his people with a positive mindset with the uncertainty the team were facing.
The Solution
We suggested having a morning of attitudinal training followed by an afternoon session of high energy team building. The training focused on helping their people face their fears, visioning the future and injecting them with new found motivation. The sessions included elements of NLP, ownership, and goal setting.
In the afternoon their team experienced a sing & inspire team building session to bring everything learned from the morning together. It was high energy, high adrenaline experience that required the whole team to work together and engage with each other. They finished the day with brilliant adrenaline filled outdoor performance with a few backflips and dance moves being thrown into the mix!
The Results
Morale improved, motivation increased and energy was at an all-time high! People felt more confident and came out of their shells. Others encouraged others so much they became leaders on the day in their own right. The team came together as one and created lasting friendships.
